Brechfa Lodge offers accommodation for 5 people + cot in a newly renovated coach house & stables, built in 1910 & designed by Clogh Ellis Williams of Portmeirion fame and synpathetically restored by an award winning architect.
Set in the beautiful Cothi valley in Carmarthenshire, it ia an ideal base for exploring all that Mid & West Wales has to offer. The lodge is within 7 acres of mature gardens which ia a haven for wildlife. We have our own 2 mile stretch of Salmon & sea trout fishing on the river Cothi which is only a five minute drive away - even if you are not an angler you can enjoy the walks along the river bank.
Our village pub, The Forest Arms has finally re-opened for a friendly beer & home cooking along with the Ty Mawr hotel/restaurant.These along with the village shop are all within easy walking distance. (No driving)
A short drive away is Aberglasney house and gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Dinefwr House (National Trust) & the stunningly romantic castle Carreg Cennan.
You can relive the age of steam with a ride on the Gwili Railway, visit the Dolaucothi Roman Gold mines ( National Trust) also the attractive Laugharne castle and the Dylan Thomas boathose.
Further afield we have Cefn Sidan ( 7 miles of golden sands), Oakwood theme park, Folly Farm, Tenby & Pembroke (castle) are all within an hour's drive.
